My Dog

My Dog is a playful celebration of character, companionship and the wonderfully unpredictable world that surrounds us.

The painting is filled from edge to edge with an extraordinary collection of faces, animals and curious little characters. Soft greys, earthy pinks and muted whites create a gentle background, while unexpected flashes of yellow and orange bring moments of energy and warmth throughout the work.

Dogs appear amongst the crowd in all shapes and personalities, some immediately recognisable and others hidden within the layers of figures and abstract forms. Human faces sit alongside animals, strange creatures and tiny scenes, creating a world where everyone seems to coexist as part of one wonderfully unusual community.

Look closer and My Dog becomes a painting to get lost in. Eyes peer out from unexpected places, tiny characters emerge between larger figures and humorous details reveal themselves slowly. To me, My Dog captures the joy, loyalty and individuality that animals bring into our lives. It is about companionship in all its forms and the special place our dogs hold within the beautiful, messy and often amusing world we share with them.

• Dimensions: 50 × 61 cm
• Printed on high-quality 100% cotton canvas using archival pigment inks, then finished with four protective coats of art varnish. Each canvas is professionally stretched over kiln-dried plantation pine stretcher bars and supplied ready to hang, complete with hanging fittings, brown framer’s tape and felt bumpons on the back.
• The original artwork was created using acrylic and ink on canvas. The exceptional print quality preserves the depth, texture and intricate detail of the original, making it beautifully difficult to distinguish between the print and the original artwork.
