This painting is about a day spent at Point Cartwright, surrounded by the ocean, the lighthouse and the people who pass through.

Faces, buildings and pathways are mixed together like memories and small moments from the day. The large figure brings a sense of calm, while the busy shapes below show the many stories and lives happening around her.

The coastal blues and sandy colours reflect the landscape, with brighter colours adding movement and energy.

To me, Day at Point Cartwright is about the memories we attach to familiar places and the peaceful feeling of being near the ocean.

• Dimensions: 104cm x 80cm
• Printed on high-quality 100% cotton canvas using archival pigment inks, then finished with four protective coats of art varnish. Each canvas is professionally stretched over kiln-dried plantation pine stretcher bars and supplied ready to hang, complete with hanging fittings, brown framer’s tape and felt bumpons on the back.
• The original artwork was created using acrylic and ink on canvas. The exceptional print quality preserves the depth, texture and detail of the original, making it beautifully difficult to distinguish between the print and the original artwork.
