This painting is about people leaving the city and searching for a different way of life.

The bold colours and crowded shapes show the noise, movement and pressure of the city. Figures, roads and vehicles seem to flow away from it, creating a feeling of urgency and change.

There is uncertainty in leaving the familiar, but also a sense of freedom and possibility.

To me, Exodus From the City is about moving on, starting again and having the courage to follow a new path.
