A Gathering in the Jungle is a celebration of nature at its wildest, abundant, colourful, layered and full of life.

The painting draws you into a lush tropical world where oversized leaves, vibrant flowers, curling vines and whimsical mushrooms seem to grow into and around one another. Rich greens are brought to life against brilliant turquoise, while bursts of red, orange and yellow create a sense of warmth, movement and energy.

Hidden amongst the foliage are unexpected shapes, pathways and fragments that invite you to look a little closer. There is a feeling that something is always happening just beyond what you can immediately see, as though the jungle holds its own stories, characters and secrets waiting to be discovered.

The bold forms and almost dreamlike combination of plants, patterns and colour blur the line between the real and imagined, capturing the beautiful chaos of the natural world.

To me, A Gathering in the Jungle is about abundance, connection and the magic that exists when nature is simply allowed to be wild. Every leaf, flower and hidden detail has its own place, yet together they create one thriving, interconnected world.

  • Printed on high-quality 100% cotton canvas using archival pigment inks, then finished with four protective coats of art varnish. Each canvas is professionally stretched over kiln-dried plantation pine stretcher bars and supplied ready to hang, complete with hanging fittings, brown framer’s tape and felt bumpons on the back.
  • The original artwork was created using acrylic and ink on canvas. The exceptional print quality preserves the depth, texture and detail of the original, making it beautifully difficult to distinguish between the print and the original artwork.
